Framing and conserving a Navajo Tapestry

This beautiful Navajo tapestry has been in our client’s family for years. We sewed it to a 4-ply mat and siliconed the mat to the acrylic. In order to not squish the tapestry and to conserve it we built shadowbox walls in the frame between the acrylic to create room. This custom frame is made from reclaimed wood and has a subtle grain showing.  Custom Picture Framing in San Francisco!
