For these Artista Samniego soothing oil based monotypes we used a medium slim sharp looking dark walnut for our frame design and kept it simple, yet elevated for our client’s taste. The art is floated, with archival hinges, which allows the beautiful natural torn paper edge not only to show in its entirety but also through a shadow line that creates depth and shows even more texture. This fairly shallow shadow box is lined with matching walnut walls and allows for even more depth illusion. Our museum conservation grade, uv filetering preserves this art and glass cuts out most of the annoying glare, the clarity is incredible.
