This was an art school project from the late 70’s. The goal was to look like a storyboard for a book about birdwatching. We recreated the exact mat openings that the artist originally had to cut by hand; we added the squared openings around each grouping to add a bit more structure. The actual frame for this project is burlwood with a gold colored fillet.

We can cut all sorts of mat openings for your art, photos, paintings or even objects! Just show us what you need framed and we will come up with a solution. Now is the best time to place your framing order for any Holidays gifts. We do have longer than normal turn around times and supplies are limited due to the effect from the pandemic but you do have a lot to choose from!

Underglass Custom Picture Framing in San Francisco is open daily, see our locations and hours here.
