Custom framing original posters like from this 1964 Miró exhibition in Barcelona can add so much to your interior design.
Of course over the nearly past 5 decades the paper started to slightly age and yellow. So we wanted to come up with a frame design that works for this antique poster and we used a whitewashed hardwood frame that works really well for the discolored white of the art and we stacked a red frame with the whitewash frame to add another color element and separate frame from paper without using a mat.
To preserve this old poster we then used a UV filtering glazing that will prevent doing more harm to the colors. This Miró poster will now be another show stopper on our client’s wall.
