We floated this beautiful Japanese piece on a metallic gold mat and cut an 8ply mat around to expose the rice paper’s torn edge but keep it clean and modern.

Here is our latest really amazing oversized custom picture framing project we just finished. It is a pentaptych in a welded aluminum floater frame with a mica dark gray powder coat finish for our good friend at Black Walls Design right here in San Francisco! We framed this vintage California flag with it’s original wood post in a 102”x72” oversized shadowbox! We spliced 3 fabric panels to sew the flag to and used Optium Acrylic for the best clarity and museum. quality. We love this kind of work in our San Francisco neighborhood frame shop!
