Wow, this antique book from 1887 really needed a new housing! So we custom built this shadow box for it not only to protect it from light, dust and moisture - we also made it shine in a gorgeous muted gold frame. There is almost no reflection with the museum quality glazing either! San Francisco brings us the best art to frame!
This is the perfect effect a shadow box showcases!
The soft shadows around these amazing Japanese prints from the 60’s are just awesome.
We floated the art extra deep on a warm linen mat and used an ash whitewash frame with matching spacers to design a shadow box. Simplicity that reflects on the art and museum quality framing for best possible art conservation.
Look at the colors in this multimedia piece from Japan! We used a white wash wood frame and thin silver second mat to pull on the metallic silver in the art and let the colors stand alone. Sometimes it is just best and most effective to tone the frame design down and you will get a great wow-effect. Besides the design we applied museum quality framing standards to ensure the art is well protected from UV and other environmental factors.
